About Me

My name is Harjono Djoyobisono (Jono). I am an Indonesian-born photographer, with my roots in the Central Java city of Solo, now based in Melbourne, Australia, and I have been working professionally for over fifteen years across many different themes and settings. My portfolio has been developed out of commissions for different clients – corporate, NGOs and individuals – and from pursuing my own interests in portraiture, landscape and culture.

My professional work has covered a wide range of clients and themes. Commissions for development agencies have taken me to a wide range of Asian countries (Bhutan, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Timor-Leste, Sri Lanka and India, as well as many parts of my native Indonesia), Africa (Ethiopia and Tanzania) and across the Pacific (Papua New Guinea, the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Fiji). Wherever I go, I try to capture the life and beauty of people in their own natural environments, whether work, home or play. Even ‘ordinary’ workplace settings can yield excellent images that tell a strong story.

For weddings, events, portraits and headshots photogaphy, please visit my dedicated website www.weddingevent.com.au for these services.
