Australian Volunteers Program

The Australian Volunteers Program (AVP) is a government-funded initiative that connects skilled Australians with partner organizations across the Indo-Pacific, Africa, and beyond. Managed by AVI (Australian Volunteers International) on behalf of the Australian Government, AVP supports sustainable development by placing volunteers in roles that align with local community needs.

Through long-term assignments and remote volunteering opportunities, AVP fosters cross-cultural exchange, strengthens local capacity, and contributes to positive social change.

My work with AVP aims to convey the dynamic quality of the volunteer-partner relationship, and the real joy that comes when motivated volunteers work with strong local communities.
